His tenure includes overseeing Comcast's entire $19 billion video business - at the time, the largest pay-TV business in the world. He also spearheaded the revitalization of Zodiac Systems, a private equity-backed embedded software company, doubling sales and tripling EBITDA before leading to a successful exit.

With broad private equity experience, Derek has worked with approximately 20 PE firms as a portfolio company CEO, board member, or advisor. His strategic acumen has been instrumental in repositioning companies, launching products, driving best practices, growing revenue, reducing churn, and optimizing cost structures.

Derek has a strong technical aptitude and intellectual curiosity. He is a principal inventor on three issued patents, two of which are directly in the customer experience space.
